Marcus started Lafayette Concrete Company in 2022 after more than a decade working concrete in and around Lafayette. He watched homeowners get burned by out-of-town contractors who did not understand Acadiana clay, skipped permits, or disappeared when a slab cracked months later. He decided to build something that operated differently.
Lafayette is where Marcus grew up, where his family lives, and where his work stands in front of neighbors who drive past it every day. The company is based on South Buchanan Street, a few minutes from downtown, and serves the full Acadiana region, from Youngsville and Broussard south of the city to Opelousas and Carencro to the north.
Every project gets the same attention whether it is a 200-square-foot backyard patio or a commercial parking lot. The crew knows the soil conditions in Broadmoor, the drainage requirements near Bayou Vermilion, and the permit process at Lafayette Consolidated Government. That local knowledge is the difference between concrete that lasts and concrete that gets replaced.
You receive a written estimate before any work begins. If conditions on site change the scope, we call you before adjusting the plan. No surprise line items on the final invoice.
We confirm pour dates one day in advance and show up on time. When Lafayette weather forces a delay, you hear from us before we would have arrived, not after.
Every slab accounts for Lafayette Parish's expansive Vertisol clay and its 60-plus inches of annual rainfall. Subgrade prep, joint spacing, and mix design are set for local conditions from the start.
If something concerns you in the first year, call us directly. We return calls from past customers, not just new leads, and we stand behind the work we complete.
Serving Lafayette since 2022. Licensed, insured, and bonded.
Required by Louisiana Revised Statute Title 37 for all contractors performing work above applicable dollar thresholds. Our active license is verifiable in real time at lslbc.gov before you sign anything.
We carry current general liability coverage protecting your property from damage caused during construction. A certificate of insurance is available on request before work begins.
All crew members on your property are covered under workers compensation, protecting you from liability if an on-site injury occurs during your project.
We coordinate all required permits through LCG's Permitting Division at 220 West Willow Street. Every project that requires a permit is documented, inspected, and closed out correctly.
