Effective date: January 1, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website lafayetteconcretecompany.com (the "Site") and the services provided by Lafayette Concrete Company ("we," "us," or "our"), located at 700 S Buchanan St, Lafayette, LA 70501.
By using this Site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or request services from us.
By accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you are using the Site or requesting services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Lafayette Concrete Company provides concrete contractor services, including but not limited to concrete driveway installation, patio construction, slab foundation building, decorative concrete work, and related services in and around Lafayette, Louisiana.
The Site provides information about our services, allows you to request free estimates, and offers general educational content about concrete work. The Site does not constitute a binding offer to perform any particular service; all services are subject to a separate written estimate or contract.
When you request an estimate through the Site or by phone, we will provide a written estimate after inspecting the project site. All estimates are provided free of charge and are valid for a specified period, typically 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
Estimates are based on the site conditions visible and reported at the time of the visit. If unforeseen conditions are discovered during the project-such as unstable soil, hidden utility lines, or drainage problems-we will notify you before proceeding with any additional work, and the pricing may be adjusted accordingly. You will have the opportunity to approve any additional costs before we continue.
Final pricing is governed by the signed contract or written agreement between you and Lafayette Concrete Company, not by the estimate request form on the Site.
Once you accept an estimate and sign a contract, we will schedule your project. Scheduling is subject to weather conditions, permit approval, material availability, and crew availability.
If you need to cancel or reschedule after the project has been scheduled, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made after materials have been ordered or work has begun may incur charges to cover materials purchased and labor already performed. Specific cancellation terms will be outlined in your contract.
We reserve the right to reschedule or delay work due to weather, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control. We will notify you as soon as possible of any schedule changes.
Payment terms are specified in your signed contract. Typically, we require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon completion and your approval of the finished work. We accept payment by check, cash, or other methods as agreed in writing.
If payment is not received within the time specified in your contract, we reserve the right to suspend or stop work and to pursue collection of unpaid amounts, including late fees and collection costs if applicable under Louisiana law.
If your project requires a permit from the Lafayette Consolidated Government or other local authority, we will handle the permit application on your behalf unless otherwise agreed. Permit fees are typically included in your project estimate or billed separately as specified in your contract.
You are responsible for ensuring that we have legal access to the property and that the work complies with any homeowner association rules or deed restrictions. If a project is delayed or rejected due to zoning restrictions, permit denial, or other regulatory issues beyond our control, we are not liable for the delay or any associated costs.
We strive to perform all work to industry standards appropriate for the Lafayette, Louisiana area, including accounting for local soil conditions, drainage requirements, and climate factors. We use materials that meet applicable building code requirements unless you request and approve an alternative in writing.
Concrete naturally undergoes some cracking as it cures and ages. Small hairline cracks do not indicate defective workmanship. Control joints are placed in concrete slabs to direct cracking to designated locations and minimize random cracking. While we cannot guarantee a crack-free surface indefinitely, we will address any significant structural defects reported within the warranty period specified in your contract.
Specific warranty terms for completed work are outlined in your signed contract. Unless otherwise stated in writing, we do not provide warranties beyond those expressly set forth in the contract.
We are not responsible for damage to the completed work caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, flooding, ground movement unrelated to our work, improper maintenance by the property owner, or modifications made by others after completion.
The information provided on the Site is for general educational purposes and should not be considered professional advice specific to your project. Always consult with us directly for recommendations tailored to your property and circumstances.
To the fullest extent permitted by Louisiana law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from the services we provide, whether in contract, negligence, or otherwise, will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or matters that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
If a dispute arises regarding the services we provide, we encourage you to contact us directly to attempt to resolve the issue informally. Most concerns can be addressed through communication.
If informal resolution is not successful, any legal disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, and any court proceedings will be conducted in the appropriate court in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. Both parties consent to the jurisdiction and venue of these courts.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Changes to these Terms do not affect the terms of any signed contract for services already in progress or completed.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
